
The intent was to establish the equipment requirements necessary to achieve an on-site auxiliary electrical power source suitable to the needs of the applicable requirements and user criteria.

It was issued by the Standards Council on March 18, 2021, with anĭate of April 8, 2021, and supersedes all previous editions. This edition of NFPA 110, Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems was prepared by the Technical Committee on Emergency Power Supplies and released by the Correlating Committee on National Electrical Code’.
